Best Date Night Ever

Date night is very important, and Jeff and I love date night! One thing that I will say about our date night experience- sometimes it's the creative and cost-effective dates that seem to be the most fun!

Two weeks ago, we had a fun and creative date night to remember. We made homemade pizza! We printed a new recipe off the internet, walked to the grocery store to buy toppings, and enjoyed the experience together. I totally reccommend it! Jeff got what he wanted (green peppers and chicken) and I got what I wanted (olives, mushrooms and pineapple). Instead of pizza sauce we did half BBQ sauce and half Alfredo. It was so much fun!

Here's our picture proof:

This was an excellent date night!

Baby Pics

I really wanted to get one of those really cool 3-D/4-D ultrasounds to see what our little boy might look like, but they're pretty expensive. Plus, I'm working on the ever-so-popular patience virtue, which isn't an innate quality for me. Thus, I've decided to settle for the next best thing- Jeff & I's baby pictures!

The old fashioned sneak peek-

I'm thinking he'll be pretty darn adorable!

Summer Get Away

Jeff and I wanted one more fun get away that didn't include a car seat, diaper bag, or stroller. We got the time off for a vacation in July, but soon after Jeff's grandma had a stroke that left her in an unpredictable state, and we couldn't make any plans or reservations.

Things worked out, like they tend to do, and although we were sad when Jeff's grandma passed away, we were able to use one of our vacation days for the funeral services. Then we had to decided what to do with the remaining 3.

Here's what we did..........we went to a cabin in Fruitland, Utah and rented a 14 foot aluminum fishing boat with 8 horse power motor and played on Strawberry. We had a blast!
The proof is in the pictures-

Jeff outside of the cabin with our fishing poles!

We'd never been in a fishing boat before, and Jeff was a little hesitant to steer at first. We had a little motor trouble, but we figured it out.

Talk about the perfect day! Here I am enjoying the ride.

Jeff was preparing the lines. We had fresh worms, salmon eggs, and colorful fishing cheese.

We fished for 5 minutes. Then we realized our attention spans were kind of short. So, we gave up on fishing and found an empty island to dock our rad boat on!

Here's the best part- I found some old sunscreen, which I assumed was waterproof. Who knew they even made non-waterproof sunscreen?
When we jumped into the water it started running down our faces and into our eyes. That's why this pictures so pretty.

After the sunscreen washed off, we both got fried! So much for preparation.
